Mission and Vision
The Homeownership Preservation Foundation contributes to the national effort to curb mortgage foreclosures and serve the nation’s homeowners facing foreclosure. Through partnerships with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, private investors, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and NeighborWorks America, HPF works to develop innovative solutions for preserving homeownership and protect homeowners from foreclosure scams. Since its founding, HPF has demonstrated that it is a particularly successful example of the strength of public and private partnering.
While HPF concentrates its efforts on mortgage foreclosure prevention, HPF is also responsive to developing consumer financial challenges. HPF is broadening its financial education and assistance to struggling homeowners to help them prioritize their mortgage obligations and manage their total debt.
