Before calling the Homeowner's HOPE™ Hotline (888-995-HOPE™) for foreclosure counseling service, here are a few things to note, so we can best help with your specific situation.
Counseling Overview
HPF provides neutral, third-party counselors who are certified and trained to set up a plan of action designed for you and your situation. Counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help you in English and 170 other languages. When you talk to us, you won't be judged and you won't pay a dime. This foreclosure counseling service is free to homeowners.
What to have ready
Have a list of the major bills you pay every month at hand when you call. Chief among these should be your mortgage payment statement complete with your mortgage loan number. If possible, organize your information before you call to include:
- Pay stubs,
- Tax returns,
- Financial statements (if less than 60 days old)
- Copies of additional monthly payments such as car loans, credit cards, student loans, etc., and
- Any additional information – such as proof of additional income –to help your counselor better evaluate your situation.

Before you call The Homeowner’s HOPE™ Hotline (888-995-HOPE™), understand that we can provide foreclosure prevention counseling services , information, help, and guidance about your options and provide information about other services to help you face your financial situation. The Hotline cannot provide refinancing, down payment assistance, loans or modifications.
